Photo Book Show at Portrait Society Gallery in Spring 2012

INITIAL CALL FOR ENTRIES

Portrait Society Gallery will host a photo book exhibition - BS @ PS - in 2012.

Now is the time to decide what kind of a book you've been longing tomake with all those photo projects you've been working on. Now is the time to pull some of that material together thematically and get it done so your project can be part of this exhibition.

The books have to have been created during 2011/2012 and should be photo-based and self-published through sites such as Lulu or Blurb. No size requirements.

Portrait Society Gallery will host several workshops in upcoming months to discuss the project, offer instructions regarding creating books on-line, and advice on editing and layout.

Judges will select finalists for cash prizes and specialpresentations of their work. All of the books, however, will be included in a show in one room at Portrait Society and will be for sale.

A special category of submission will be "The Contemporary Portrait." These entries will be displayed in their own area.

You must live in Wisconsin to submit an entry. Entry fee is $40

This project is being coordinated by CoPA member Erik Ljung and Portrait Society. More detailed information on the submission process will be forthcoming as well as a web site devoted to the project.
