I'm not much for taking pictures, I'm all about taking photographs. I started as a conventional photographer back in the 80's spending as much time as I could in with my Pentax K 1000 and darkroom labs. I blame my older brother who at the time was a student at Brooks Institute in California, he planted the seed. It was only 6 years ago did I begin to embrace the digital formant, and you could say I went kicking and screaming into the digital darkroom, but these days I embrace the digital format to its fullest extent. It is powerful technology yet still provides a great release for photographic creativity like it did when I first began. The language of photography is not a 'want', it is a 'need'. Once a day I must be involved with it some way or another, be my own work or the work of others. If not practicing it, then teaching it. It is where I belong.
