Full Name: Tracy Lenz
Bio: Tracy Lenz is a local Menomonee Falls photographer that captures photos of architecture new and old, Midwest living, farming, cars, scenes and travel. Starting with simple film and box cameras was never easy to expand but made you focus on the subject. 35mm was better but limited by low ISO film speed and the number of pictures per roll and processing, I wanted more. Digital cameras and advanced lens technology has opened the door to expand photography from simple touch up’s to HDR and bring another type of photography to reality.
Artist's Statement: Photo art creation can be as simple or complex as I want to make the subject. Packing the camera and going for a ride to find other roads, see new places, and capture different things. I like to take these roads just to see what’s there and stop along the way to capture the moment of people, places and things. When I produce my work I am always asked “How did I do that…”, “Where’s this place…”,”Who’s the people…”, or “What’s this thing…” . I recall the moment like the day it was captured and tell them “Take this road…”.
